Your Home
Make it Yours
We want your space to feel like your own personal sanctuary. It comes equipped with all the essentials that you’ll need and we will speak to you before you move in to get a sense of what you like so that we can make it homely and tailored to you. Where possible we will arrange it so you can go shopping with your Key Worker for bedding etc so you can choose this yourself. We want you to feel comfortable and proud of your new home.
To ensure your privacy and security, you’ll have your own key to your flat. This way, you can control access and have a sense of independence.
If you have anything that you would like to store securely for you then speak to your Key worker and support staff and they will keep your belongings safe in the staff office. We want you to have peace of mind knowing that your personal items are secure and protected.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to ensure that your flat truly feels like a place where you can relax and be yourself.

Daily Routines &
How Things Work
We want you to know that we understand and respect that everyone has their own unique routines. Your key worker will take the time to discuss the routines of the building with you and make sure that they fit in with your needs and preferences.
We understand the importance of having friends and family to visit. We’ll make sure to discuss these with you so that you can plan accordingly. We also have planned evenings where we cook together and sessions to support your independence. These are important for your future, and we encourage you to engage with them. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to discuss these with you so that you know what to expect.
We want you to feel comfortable and supported during your time here. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to talk to us. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Visitors & Welcoming
Friends and Family
We understand the importance of maintaining connections with your loved ones whilst you live with Vision while you’re in our supported accommodation. We want to create a welcoming and supportive environment that allows for meaningful visits from your family and friends.
Visitors are welcome, and we encourage you to arrange these visits with your keyworker and Social Worker. We believe in the value of spending time with your loved ones in your own space where possible.
Our aim is to support and facilitate your contact with family and friends, if it aligns with the agreed-upon arrangements. We recognise that maintaining these connections can be crucial for your well-being, and we’re here to help make it happen.
Your keyworker will work closely with you to ensure that you can maintain contact with your family and friends in a way that is safe and beneficial for you. They will provide guidance and assistance in arranging visits or maintaining communication, so you never feel disconnected from your support network.
We understand that having the support and presence of your loved ones can greatly contribute to your overall happiness and progress. We want to foster an environment where you can strengthen these relationships and experience the love and care from your family and friends.
Please communicate your preferences and needs regarding visits or contact with your keyworker.

Staying Safe & Creating
a Secure Environment
Your flat is your own special space where you should always feel safe and comfortable. We want you to know that your privacy and safety are our top priorities. If you ever feel like you need some extra space or support, we’ve created a lounge area for you to use. This room is a place where you can go to relax, unwind, watch a movie or chat with staff members and other young people in a safe and private environment.
With this being a shared space there is a CCTV camera that is there for safety reasons. Cameras can also be found in the communal areas for the same reason. There are no cameras in any of the flats as this is your own personal space.
